Lockwood De Forest painting

New in the gallery this week, a landscape painting by Lockwood De Forest, of the Conway Meadows with Moat Mountain and White Horse and Cathedral Ledge. Best know for his work as an interior and building designer working with Louis Comfort Tiffany De Forest is also known as one of America's finest atmospheric painters. He was strongly influenced by the Hudson River School but developed his own style creating a looser landscape "sketch."
